It is super exciting, another transformation to Warner Center. The Village Shopping Center in Woodland Hills
In late 2013, the L.A. City council gave their final approval for the development of $ 500 million mixed use shopping development; connecting Westfield Promenade malls and the Westfield Topanga. The United Technologies Corporation plans to convert Rocketdyne property into an additional development with a hotel, residences, offices and retail. Farmers Insurance is planning to move their headquarters to Warner Center. With the help of the existing Metro Orange Line, these projects will have a great effect on the economic expansion of San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles as a whole.
A large-scale development! It will be one of the busiest shopping areas in West San Fernando Valley.
Under construction, with a façade composed of a mix of reclaimed wood, Venetian plaster, brick and stacked stone, located on the crossing of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Victory Boulevard; The Village at Westfield, will change the look and feel of Warner Center. This construction development has sections with groupings of one to three floor structures. A row of single story retail stores on Topanga Boulevard, with beautiful landscaping, and parking places in front of these stores, being be backed by another row of stores facing the Village market place. At the center of it all, the main pedestrian way will have three water features, an interactive fountain at the south end, one in the center and one in front of an oyster bar; that gives the illusion of walking on water and a Koi pond. It will also feature a bocce ball court, and a book exchange area.
When completed, The Village will have 87 retailers, 15 restaurants, including a Larsen’s Steakhouse, REI, offering outdoor recreation gear, sporting goods, and clothing. And yes, there will be a Costco.
Additional parking for patron’s available underground with three entrances for the parking facility. Parking entrances will be from Victory Boulevard, Erwin Street and Owensmouth Avenue.
The Village Shopping Center in Woodland Hills at Westfield Topanga a $350 million development is scheduled to open in the fall of 2015.
